I am aware that the time I spend thinking about my earthly retirement, is disproportionate to the time I spend planning on my heavenly retirement. The span of my earthly retirement may be ten to twenty years, or more. The span of my heavenly abiding is infinite… forever …

“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” (Col. 3:1,2)

I need to consciously, intentionally, and lovingly make Investments in Heaven.

“But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:20, 21)

“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.” (Proverbs 19:17)

“The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously;” (Psalm 37:21)

“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full”. (Matthew 6:2) NIV

“And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.” (Matthew 10:42)
