The Wonder of 3:16
Pretty well all believers can quote John 3:16. Even many unbelievers can quote some of it. If you attend athletic games, whether baseball or football, somebody is holding a sign in the stands… JOHN 3:16.
One thing I’ve noticed over the years, is that there are other interesting verses that land on the 3:16 designation. After noticing that numerous times over the years, I have decided to compile a list.
This article focuses on those 3:16 verses. I hope you will not only enjoy this compilation, but that you will be Blessed as you read God’s Word.

Part 1 – The New Testament
John 3:16 New International Version (NIV)
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
This is the one that most people have memorized.
Matthew 3:16 New International Version (NIV)
16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him.
Luke 3:16 New International Version (NIV)
16 John answered them all, “I baptize you with[a] water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with[b] the Holy Spirit and fire.
Acts 3:16 New International Version (NIV)
16 By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.
