The Church:
When the Bible speaks of the Church, it is not speaking of the buildings (brick and mortar). The Church is the assembly of the Believers… who are united with Christ.
Run from sexual sin! No other sin so clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.1 Corinthians 6:18-20
Your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit. Together with other believers, you make up the Church.
Sexual Sin:
The above Scripture speaks of so much more. It talks about sexual sin.
We already covered that in the beginning God made them male and female, and commanded them to multiply and fill the earth… and the two would be one flesh. This was the basis of marriage. A father and mother raising children.
Let’s be clear. Sex is God’s idea… to be enjoyed in committed relationships within the confines of marriage, to be enjoyed between a man and a woman. This is God’s plan, His pattern.
Satan and his Demons have been perverting and twisting God’s pattern.
For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.John 8:44
(Jesus said) Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved.[a]They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief’s (Satan) purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.John 10:9-11
Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News.Corinthians 4:4
But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.Corinthians 11:14 (NLT)
Satan hates God’s creation, and by perverting mankind’s inclinations, he destroys them. Without holiness, they cannot see God.
Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.Hebrews 12:14
