Back to the main message.

At this point mankind is mortal, and living in a cursed and fallen world. Prior to the fall, their first job was to tend the garden, and God’s earthly Kingdom.

After the fall, the curse is on the earth. Man would have to toil to get the earth to give up it’s fruit. There would be pain in child birth. With sin came disease and illness.

The thing to take note of is that Eden was the Plan of God. The fall and curse on the earth was the result of Satan’s interference.

This is the life that we have inherited today, but a few significant things have happened between then and now.

God contended with Mankind through the ages. Sometimes they followed Him, and other times they did not.

There was a moment in time, when God selected a man called Abram.

[ The Call of Abram ] The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you.Genesis 12:1

What’s more, I am changing your name. It will no longer be Abram. Instead, you will be called Abraham, for you will be the father of many nations.Genesis 17:5

Abraham was the father of Isaac, and Isaac was the father of Jacob, and Jacob was the father of the 12 Tribes of Israel.

Israel and the Jews are the direct physical descendants of Abraham. God made many promises to Abraham, and promised to Bless his descendants.

You will notice that one of the promises in Genesis 17:5 above is that he would be the father of “many nations”. The Bible says that God made promises to Abraham, and Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him as righteousness.

For the Scriptures tell us, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”Romans 4:3

For Abraham is the father of all who believe. 17 That is what the Scriptures mean when God told him, “I have made you the father of many nations.”[a] This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing.Romans 4: 17-18

What’s more, the Scriptures looked forward to this time when God would make the Gentiles right in his sight because of their faith. God proclaimed this good news to Abraham long ago when he said, “All nations will be blessed through you.”Galatians 3:8

The Bible also says that anybody who has Faith in the work of Jesus Christ, becomes a child of God, and Abraham becomes their spiritual father, and they inherit the Blessings of Abraham.
