Silent night, Holy night,
All is calm, All is bright,
Round yon Virgin
Mother and Child…

The Miracle… the Virgin was with Child.

We celebrate the “Reason for the Season” at Christmas time, the birth of the Holy Child, and at Easter time, the Risen Christ. He was born and lived a sinless human life, so that whoever believes in Him, might have Eternal Life.

The Bible says that God is Spirit, and that true worshipers of God will worship Him in Spirit and Truth.

We were created in God’s Image. We are body, soul, and spirit. It is our spirit that is in the “Image of God”. Our soul is our personality and our thoughts… our consciousness, our temperament… and our soul is connected to our spirit. Our spirit is eternal, therefore our consciousness, our soul is eternal too. Our spirit resides in our earthly body. When our earthly body quits, our spirit is freed from this natural world, and enters into the spiritual world.

The Bible says to “draw near to God, and He will draw near to you”… “Seek and you shall find”…

The Good News is that God is not trying to keep anybody out of the Kingdom of God. He is trying to get everybody in. That is why He provided His son Jesus, that if you believe in Him, you will be a child of God, and will inherit the Kingdom of God.

I believed in Jesus many years ago, and to this day, I have the Peace and Comfort of knowing Him. It took faith to believe, but once I believed, I knew He came into my life. Now I have confidence and the knowledge… I know that I know that I know… what they call the “Blessed Assurance”. My prayer is that all would have the joy of the Blessed Assurance… absolutely no doubt.

You see, God is Holy, and we are not. Only Jesus lived a Holy life. His Divine nature enabled Him to achieve this. So He alone is righteous before God. The Gift given to us is that if we invite Jesus into our life, if we ask for our sins to be forgiven in Jesus Name, He does forgive us, and we are clothed in His Righteousness, making us acceptable before God, and transforming us into Children of God. At that point we have “clean hands and a pure heart”.

The best example I know from Scripture that shows how simple it is to receive this gift from God, is at the crucifixion. Two thieves were crucified with Jesus, one on either side. The one thief cursed Jesus. The other thief declared “we deserve to be here… Jesus doesn’t”. Then he turned to Jesus, and said “Lord, when you come into your Kingdom, can you remember me?” Jesus answered “Before this day is done, you will be with me in Paradise.” That’s the promise we have when we invite Jesus into our life… when we make Him Lord.

In the Bible, Romans 10:9, 10 says “That if you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” There it is… the simplicity of the Gospel… the free Gift of God.

Pray this prayer, believing… “Jesus, forgive me my sins. I believe that you died for my sins on the cross, and that you were raised to life again by the Power of God, and you are alive now and forever more. I make you Lord of my life… wash me new… I thank you for my Salvation… I ask this in your name, the Precious Name of Jesus. Amen.” If you prayed this with a sincere heart, you are SAVED, and you are a Christian.

Find a “faith filled Bible believing Church”, and become a faithful follower of Jesus.

In the different seasons when people all over the world are celebrating Jesus, it is good to understand why He was here.
