The fact is God’s Word meets real human needs. Those who believe in God’s Love, embrace Hope, and enjoy the Peace of God. Those who believe in a miracle working God enjoy the miraculous. Those who believe in the Saving Grace that only Faith in Jesus provides walk in the Joy of their Salvation. The Word of God is living and active (see Hebrews 4:12a)… It will speak to those who have ears to hear and eyes to see.

In a previous article the Reverend quoted a colleague who stated that anybody who emerges from seminary with their faith intact was not listening. The conclusion is, whoever you listen to and choose to believe will affect your faith. That’s why when people accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, they are encouraged to attend a Bible believing Church… and that is why Bible believing Churches are growing.

So hear the Word of the Lord:

“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9)

“The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 2:14)

“Even to this day when Moses (the Law in the Old Testament) is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3:15-17)

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)

“Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the LORD does not count against them and in whose spirit is no deceit.” (Psalm 32:1,2)

The Good Book presents a Holy God who has an unfailing Love for those who follow him.
